Item 6BCity of Southlake Department of Planning & Development Services S T A F F R E P O R T August 1, 2007 SP 07-240 CASE NO: Sign Variance for Chapel Crossing Shopping Center PROJECT: REQUEST: On behalf of James Stahala, Oracle Engineering is requesting approval of a variance from the Sign Ordinance No. 704-C regulations for monument signs for Chapel Crossing Shopping Center. The property is located at 245 W. State Highway 114 and 200 Countryside Ct. There are three lots in this shopping center and the applicant is proposing one business monument sign per lot. Specifically, the applicant is requesting two multi-tenant monument signs and one shopping center identity sign. Since Sign Ordinance No. 704- C allows one business monument sign per lot, these are the only business monument signs that will be permitted for the shopping center. Drive-through monument signs associated with the proposed bank that comply with the ordinance will still be allowed.
