Final Approval of anAmendment to the Shops of Southlake Conditional Sign
PROJECT:
Permit for Central Market
REQUEST: This is an amendment request for the Shops of Southlake Conditional Sign Permit
requirements to allow vertical banners for Central Market. Central Market is located at
1425 East Southlake Boulevard. The applicant is proposing to install a total of six
vertical banners on the front of the Central Market building facing East Southlake
Boulevard. The proposed banners are 5 feet wide by 8 feet tall and will be changed
seasonally.
On October 17, 2006, Council approved the requested banners for a period of 6
months from the date of opening. The applicant is now seeking final approval of
the banners. A photograph of the banners is included in Attachment D.
ACTION NEEDED: Final approval of amendment request.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

PROPERTY SITUATION: The Shops of Southlake retail center is located on the southeast corner of East
Southlake Boulevard and Carroll Avenue.
STAFF COMMENTS: The sign criteria, site plan and application are attached to this report.
COUNCIL ACTION: October 17, 2006; Approved (4-2), limiting the six vertical banners to a
period of six months from the date of opening and requiring the applicant to
come back for approval of any additional time.
