Item 6GCity of Southlake Department of Planning & Development Services S T A F F R E P O R T March 28, 2007 ZA07-027 CASE NO: Revised Site Plan for Durham Elementary School PROJECT: REQUEST: Carroll Independent School District is requesting approval of a revised site plan to add a covered entry structure to Durham Elementary School along Shady Oaks Drive. The school is located at 801 Shady Oaks Drive. The entry structure includes a covered colonnade made of brick and concrete plaster connecting three existing entrances on the west side of the building. In addition, the brick on the colonnade would match the existing brick on the building. The colonnade would be open to the sides and the roof is to be a standing seam metal roof painted with a factory applied matte finish. The roof color and façade materials are as indicated in the attached perspective views submitted by the applicant. The proposed covered walkways meet the city’s articulation requirement. Due to the minimal scope of this request, no site plan review summary has been generated for this case. A mechanical service yard and masonry screening wall near the southeast portion of the existing school building were also initially proposed have been withdrawn from the request. 1.
