Request: Variance to the Sign Ordinance No. 704-D requirements to extend the duration of two (2) existing temporary development signs. And, renew variance approval for an existing development
sign that exceeds maximum height and area allowed by ordinance. This proposal also requests a change in sign face.
Gateway Church currently has two (2) temporary development signs for their new campus located at 700 Blessed Way. The sign along E. SH 114 was approved by variance October 21, 2008 allowing
for a larger than permitted sign; being 8 x 14 feet and not to exceed 112 square feet in area. The approval for this sign has expired so the applicant is requesting an extension. The
issuance of certificate of occupancy is anticipated for late October, 2010. The proposal also includes a request to change the sign face.
Gateway Church is also requesting an extension for the duration of the existing temporary development sign located along N. Kimball Avenue. The issuance of certificate of occupancy is
anticipated for late October, 2010. This sign is currently in compliance with the sign ordinance. The applicant is also requesting to change this existing sign face.
