Item 9CDarrel Davis – Arlington, Texas I have lived in Arlington, Texas since 1969. I received a BFA from UTA in 1986, and spent the next two years in the Graduate School of Architecture’s
landscape architecture program. Upon receiving a commission from Asbury College in Kentucky for a larger than life-size statue of Francis Asbury on horseback in 1991, I opened a full
time studio in Arlington. Since that time I have exhibited in several museums and completed numerous projects, the latest being a commission from the city of Hilton Head Island SC to
commemorate their founder Charles Fraiser, that is being installed at present. My emphasis is on composition that compliments rather than overpowers and I work easily with architects,
landscape architects, developers and commitees. I operate as a sole proprietor at the present time with a studio located in southwest Arlington. The studio is always open for visitation
whether for viewing project progress, project consult or tours. The foundries that I use for bronze casting are located in Texas, Oklahoma, and Colorado and are fully insured. For projects
such as this I try to keep as much money as possible in the local economy, so the casting would be done locally. * Darrel Davis – Arlington, Texas I have lived in Arlington, Texas

* * * * JANE DEDECKER - LOVELAND, COLORADO I have a long and successful history of public art placements across the nation. Recent projects are "Dawn & Dusk" for Tamarac,
Florida, "On the Count of Three" for Grand Junction and "Shadows Passing" for Anchorage, Alaska. Among the most significant was in November of 2004, when Jane and the National Sculptors'
Guild were honored with the placement of three monumental bronzes along the Riverfront Park district of Little Rock, Arkansas, leading to the William Jefferson Clinton Presidential Center.
Selected for their ability to fit the surrounding themes and landscape of the downtown area as well as complement the new Library and President Clinton's ideals of family, cultural diversity
and looking to the future. Another significant commission was enlarging the "Element Series", depicting four female figures symbolizing Earth, Air, Water and Fire, for the city of Cerritos,
CA public sculpture garden. As a Fellow of the National Sculptors’ Guild, I have worked with JK Designs and the NSG to place my public artwork since 1994. I have participated as lead
artist in projects with budgets ranging from $25,000 to $2.8 million. The team members on these projects have included architects, landscape architects, structural engineers, designers,
city volunteers and staff. My affiliation with NSG affords me access to the expertise of these nationally recognized professionals for each project I am involved. We coordinate with
cities, municipalities, corporations and private institutions across the country to successfully enhance both indoor and outdoor venues with innovative artwork with proven accountability.
Thank you for this exciting opportunity to present my artwork for your public art project. I look forward to the possibility of working with the Arts Commission on this exciting project.

wilderness of northern British Columbia. Those experiences inspired me to create interpretations of the wildlife that have so profoundly affected my life. My sculptural approach involves
the use of shape and line to produce curvilinear forms. I enjoy orchestrating these elements into bronze sculpture that is rhythmical, eye-catching and inviting to the touch. Capturing
the elegance, grace and whimsical qualities of my subjects is a primary goal of my work. For the past twelve years I have been a member of the National Sculptors’ Guild. Through the
leadership of John Kinkade, Executive Director of the Guild, we have enhanced public spaces in a timely fashion within budgets ranging from $20,000 to over $2 million. Dependent on the
nature of each project, the Guild draws upon a knowledgeable group of industry professionals including architects, landscape architects, structural engineers, designers and contractors
from around the country. Since 1992, the National Sculptors’ Guild has maintained insurance and verifies ‘Certificate of Liability Insurance’ for each project. * * * * * *
