Item 9C Department of Planning & Development Services S T A F F R E P O R T June 25, 2008 SP 08-126 CASE NO: Sign Variance for The George Group PROJECT: REQUEST: The George Group is requesting a variance to the previously approved variance for 410 and 430 North Carroll Avenue, which are a part of Flagstaff Court. The George Group is located at 430 North Carroll Avenue. In 2005, Flagstaff Court was granted a variance to the Sign Ordinance No. 704-B requirements for the number of signs for 410 and 430 North Carroll Avenue. As part of the variance approval, exhibits showing sign locations and sign area were provided (see Attachment D). The George Group is requesting a sign that does not match the sign location and sign area exhibits of the previously approved variance. The George Group recently moved from 700 North Carroll Avenue to Flagstaff Court. The applicant is requesting to use the sign that was previously displayed at 700 North Carroll Avenue. HISTORY: On March 15, 2005, a sign variance was approved for 410 and 430 North Carroll Avenue for number of signs, recognizing the applicant’s agreement to forfeit the use of any monument signs and to not place signs on the north side of 430 North Carroll Avenue and the south side of 410 North Carroll Avenue.
