CASE NO:
Sign Variance for Bicentennial Retail Plaza
PROJECT:
REQUEST: Bicentennial Retail Plaza, L.P. is requesting final approval for two multi-tenant
monument signs for Bicentennial Retail Plaza. The subject property is located at the
northeast corner of Bicentennial Drive and West Southlake Boulevard and the address
is 410 West Southlake Boulevard. In September 2006, City Council considered
variances for the subject property for maximum letter height for attached signs,
minimum distance between monument signs, and minimum setback for monument
signs. However, the monument sign design was not submitted with the original
variance application. The variances were approved with the stipulation that the final
design of the monument signs be brought back for City Council approval. The
applicant is now seeking approval of the monument sign design. The proposed signs
comply with the size and design regulations of the Sign Ordinance No. 704, as
amended.
