Collection Services for City of Southlake Municipal Court
Collection Contract
The Code of Criminal Procedure (“CCP”), Article 103.0031, allows for a municipality to contract a private attorney or vendor to collect delinquent fines and fees dated on or after June
18, 2003.
The CCP authorizes the attorney/vendor to charge a collection fee of thirty percent (30%) directly to the defendant on any final disposition more than 60 days past due.
The City will not incur any expense for the services of MVBA, as outlined in the contract.
