Item 4B AudioMayor and Council. Item 4B is a joint election agreement and contract for election services with Tarrant County Elections Administration. The significant areas covered by the agreement are the designation of the Election Judge and the Alternate Election Judge. The Election Judge will be Robert Flaherty and the Alternate Election Judge will be Lee Hamilton. The County also oversees the selection of the election clerks, the training of the clerks, equipment use and set up, preparation of supplies, and coordination of election returns. E The agreement allows for one polling location within Southlake which will be at Southlake Town Hall. Jointly contracting with the County allows Southlake voters the opportunity to vote anywhere within the County during the period of early voting. On Election Day, however, Southlake voters will be limited to voting only at Southlake Town Hall. Please remember that Tarrant County no longer announces unofficial results at the polls on election night. Instead, election results will be released only at the Tarrant County Elections Center in Fort Worth and will be simultaneously posted on their website. This will delay the release of the unofficial results until later in the evening but minimizes the possibility of the results accidentally being misread. The estimated charge for this agreement is $4,862.34. The exact amount owed will not be calculated until after the May 10 election. 3 If you have any questions regarding this agreement, please contact Lori Payne at 817- 748 -8016. 0
