Lane BACKGROUND 2001 – Completed preliminary design engineering for the neighborhood sewer project April 2008 City Council awarded contract to prepare final plans and specifications
for the neighborhood sewer additional pavement reconstruction of the neighborhood streets and East Dove Road from Lonesome Dove Rd to Kimball Ave added sewer improvements along Pearson
Road from Johnson Road to Gray Lane added water, sewer, storm, and paving improvements added along Primrose Lane BACKGROUND November 3, 2009 City Council awarded construction
contract to North Texas Contracting, Inc. May 4, 2010 City Council approved an amendment to the engineering contract to move the sewer out into the road using the directional boring
method BACKGROUND January 2010, Change Order No. 1 approved by the City Manager included lowering of the 12-inch water line on Primrose Lane associated with the Primrose sewer
installation $6,740.00 February 2010 , Change Order No. 2 approved by the City Manager included 12-inch water line lowering on Johnson Road associated with the Pearson sewer installation
storm drain line also adjusted due to conflict $18,651.00 BACKGROUND April 2010, Change Order No. 3 approved by the City Manager included 285 feet of a 4-inch french drain along
Primrose Lane to alleviate the high ground water due to the recent rainfall in order to stabilize the road for paving activities $12,630.00 Proposed Change Order No. 4 Change
Order No. 4 exceeds City Manager Approval Authority - $778,949.00 Current design Location of sewer line is 5 feet west of the pavement in ROW maintained by residents Heavy landscaping,
new driveways, and existing retaining walls along the current alignment 13 properties along East Dove Road currently designed to flow to proposed sewer to be constructed along Creekside
Drive – sewer service would be delayed due to the proposed Creekside lift station issues Proposed Change Order No. 4 Proposed Changes move location of sewer into road but use original
directional drilling method to install if repairs are required to fix “bellies” or sags in the line, the road is dug up and this would avoid digging up resident’s landscaping and disturbing
retaining walls Neighborhood roads are still scheduled for paving reconstruction Proposed Change Order No. 4 Proposed Changes no delays to provide sewer service to the 13 properties
along East Dove Road – the sewer would be redirected to Royal Oaks to serve those properties once construction is complete Proposed Change Order No. 4 Proposed Changes approximately
700 linear feet of 12-inch water line to be moved into the street due to conflict with a 4-inch steel Atmos Energy gas line additional 2,000 square yards of sod along Primrose Lane
