Item 6A (2)Thank You Mr. Chairman, members of the Commission, the following is a proposal by Standard Renewable Energy on behalf of Ms. Zena Rucker for the approval of a Specific Use Permit for a Solar Energy System on the property located at 650 S. Carroll Avenue. 1 The future land use designation for this site is Medium Density Residential. 2 The current zoning is “AG” Agricultural Zoning District. 3 This is the Site Plan provided by the applicant. The system being proposed is to be installed on the roof of the accessory structure located adjacent to the main home on the property. The approximate square footage of all the solar panels combined is estimated to be approximately 617 square feet. Any engineering required for support of the panels will be done at the time when a building permit is applied for and will need to meet all structural requirements to hold the weight of the panels. 4 The following is an aerial of the property outlined in blue. The structure where the panels are to be located on is boxed in red. 5 The following is the same aerial showing some distances to adjacent property lines. In addition to the long distances there is also significant screening that exists around the perimeter of the property. 6 This is a graphic representation of the panels on the structure. 7 And this is a photo of the structure where they are to be installed. 8 This is a picture from the structure facing the properties at the Lakes of La Paloma. 9 And this is a picture facing towards the Brenwyck subdivision of Timarron. 10 And this is the panel which is to be installed. 11 12 This concludes staff’s presentation, staff is available to answer any questions the Commission may have.
