Call to Order: 22 23 Chair Walter called the meeting to order at 6:03 p.m. 24 25 REPORTS: 26 27 Agenda Item No. 2A. Administrative Comments: APEX Concert Update 28 29 Ms. Messing updated the Arts Council on the APEX Summer Concert series and other 30 initiatives. 31 32 CONSENT AGENDA: 33 34 Agenda Item No. 3A. Consent: Approval of minutes from the April 27, 2010 Southlake 35 Arts Council meeting 36 37 A motion was made, seconded and unanimously approved to accept the minutes for the 38 April 27, 2010 meeting. 39 40 REGULAR AGENDA: 41 42 Agenda Item No. 4. Consider Review of proposed Fiscal Year 2010 -11 Public Arts 4 Fund Budget 5 6 Assistant City Manager Blagg presented the proposed FY 2010 -11 Public Arts budget 7 for the Arts Council to review. The proposed budget includes $75,000 for an Arts Master 8 Plan, $30,000 for performances, and $7,000 for miscellaneous operational expenses. 9 10 Agenda Item No. 5B. Consider Recommendation on selection of finalists for 11 Roundabout Art 12 13 The finalists for the Roundabout art works were presented to the Arts Council. The 14 artists were chosen by the Artist Selection Subcommittee. 15 16 DISCUSSION AGENDA: 17 18 Agenda Item No. 6A. Discussion: Community input via website for artists selection 19 20 Options to provide community input with regard to the artist(s) selection for the 21 roundabout art project and future art projects were discussed. 22 23 Agenda Item No. 6B. Publicity for August 21 APEX Concert 24 25 Ms. Messing presented an update. 26 27 Agenda Item No. 6C. Report from Facilities Master Plan Stake Holder meeting 28 29 The Arts Council discussed the meeting. 30 31 Agenda Item No. 6D. Update on Policy for Display of Art in Public Buildings 32 33 Assistant City Manager Jim Blagg provided an update. 34 35 Agenda Item No. 7. Adjournment 36 37 The next meeting is Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at 6 pm.
