Primary vehicle of the Southlake DPS Traffic Unit. Uses include: Traffic enforcement by the Southlake DPS Police Services Traffic Division. Traffic Direction Special events. Lease – Traffic Unit motorcycles. History of SDPS Lease Program SDPS has annually leased motorcycles with Harley Davidson of Dallas since 1994. In 2005, a twenty four (24) month contract was initiated. 2005 cost per unit was $8700.00 ea./24mos. ($60,900.00 total for 24 months) Outfitting was performed by SDPS personnel Maintenance was included. Harley Davidson of Dallas declined to renew our contract Requests for Bids were issued One bid received – Texas Harley Davidson Lease – Traffic Unit motorcycles.
