Background
City of Keller takes over regional dispatch operations for Southlake effective April 1, 2007.
Nine (9) Dispatch employees from Southlake will transfer employment to Keller.
Sick Leave Accruals
City Personnel Policies prohibit payment of accrued sick leave except when:
Retire from city with at least ten (10) years continuous service; OR
Separate employment with at least twenty (20) years continuous service.
Payment limited to 400 hours.
Resolution Proposal
Reduction in Force (RIF) not addressed by policy.
Loss of accrued leave.
Payment of accrued sick leave for hours above 40 hours, maximum of 400 hours.
Keller will provide immediate 40 hours Sick Leave upon date of hire.
