Item 4DTarrant County Tax Collection Contract
June 3, 2008
Contract Provisions
Since 1982, Tarrant County has collected property taxes for the City;
Tarrant County charges $.65 per parcel;
The fee is very reasonable charge for the service provided ($7,500)
Contract Provisions
The contract provides for daily disbursements when collections exceed $100 or the close of the month;
There are provisions that allow the City to perform an audit of the County’s collection process;
