Project Location Amend PSA with Cheatham and Associates Background: 2001 – Completed preliminary design engineering for the neighborhood sewer project April 2008 City Council awarded contract to prepare final plans and specifications for the neighborhood sewer additional pavement reconstruction of the neighborhood streets and East Dove Road from Lonesome Dove Rd to Kimball Ave added Amend PSA with Cheatham and Associates Background: September 2008, Amendment No. 1 approved by the City Manager included design of a sanitary sewer lift station on Creekside Drive to achieve shallower excavation to construct the sewer line resulting in depths ranging from 6 feet to 18 feet original depths ranged from 6 feet to 35 feet deep $5,240.00 change April 2009, Amendment No. 2 approved by the City Manager preparation of final plans and specifications for landscaping and irrigation associated with the proposed lift station on Creekside Drive $2,025.00 change Amend PSA with Cheatham and Associates Background: August 2009, Amendment No. 3 approved by the City Manager Design of the extension of a 12 inch water line from Lonesome Dove Road to Kimball Ave. extends the 12 inch water line that was installed as part of the Dove drainage and round about project $11,620.00 change August 2009, Amendment No. 4 approved by the City Manager evaluation of the existing culverts and guardrails along East Dove Road design of drainage improvements along East Dove Road $7,280.00 change Amend PSA with Cheatham and Associates Background: September 2009, Amendment No. 5 approved by the City Manager Modification of the pavement design for East Dove Road from Lonesome Dove Road to Kimball Ave. Original design would widen by approximately 2 feet to match the section from Carroll to Lonesome Dove Due to limited right-of-way, the additional 2 feet resulted in existing borrow ditches exceeding the allowable side slope $7,920.00 change March 2010, Amendment No. 6 approved by the City Manager evaluation of several options for screening electronic equipment associated with the proposed lift station on Creekside drive drawings and cost estimates provided for each option evaluted $10,380.00 change Amend PSA with Cheatham and Associates Current Proposed Amendment requires City Council approval current proposed amendment cost - $14,757.50 current location of sewer line is 5 feet west of the pavement in ROW maintained by residents heavy landscaping, new driveways, and existing retaining walls along the current alignment amendment proposes to move sewer into the road but using original directional drilling method to install to minimize impact to the residents avoids digging up resident’s landscaping and disturbing retaining walls if repairs were required to fix “bellies” or sags in the line total cumulative amendments exceed City Manager Approval - $59,222.50 RECOMMENDATION Approve Amendment No. 7 to the existing Professional Services Agreement for design services on the Neighborhood Improvement Project in Heatherwood Estates, Royal Oaks Addition, and Twin Creeks Addition with Cheatham and Associates, Inc. in the amount of $14,757.50.
