Currently Serving on CISD Long Range Planning Committee. Reason(s) for desiring to serve on this board, commission, or committee, and your opinion as to the purpose, goals, and duties of same: There area number of reasons: First, the recent "issues" with the Southlake DPS indicated to me the importance of a Southlake resident who has their own experience in law enforcement getting involved with a group that can have a voice in setting overall policies for DPS along with ways to implement them. Also, my service on the CISD Long Rand Planning Committee (Safety & Security Subcommittee) showed me the importance our police officers play in the fives of all the children who attend CISD schools and how it is imperative for the officers to have a regular presence at the school campuses. In looking at the purpose of the committee, as it does control the outlay of funds, it (m my opinion) can help develop objectives, policies, and strategies for implementing these policies and objectives.
