Propose to allocate funding towards urban design project(s)
Staff will present three (3) projects to fund
Design Work – Carroll & Kimball Bridge Improvements
Cost Estimate = $58,000
Priority: #4 – Opportunistic Project
Design Work - Tower Identity Feature
Cost Estimate = $67,000
Priority: #10 – City Funded Project
Landscape Design – (3) Roundabouts
Cost Estimate = $ 25,000
Priority: #1 – City Funded Project

(4) City Roundabouts in 2009
White Chapel Blvd at Continental Avenue

Carroll Avenue at Dove Road
Bicentennial Park (included in Bicentennial Park Phase 1 improvements)
City plans to have 6-7 roundabouts in total (excluding private subdivision roundabouts)
Underlying Objectives:
Provide cohesive impactful theme for all roundabouts planned for construction by the City of Southlake.
Provide artistic attractions for further economic development and tourism to Southlake.
Inspire Southlake children to make an impact on the world and in its history. Provide educational tool for Southlake residents.
Generate support and funding from community organizations: Arts Council, Historical Society, etc.
