PROJECT: Sign Variance for Taco Bueno
REQUEST:
Jeff Platt with Taco Bueno Restaurants is requesting variances to the Sign Ordinance
No. 704-D regulations for maximum letter height permitted and maximum logo height
for an attached sign that faces an internal driveway (west façade); maximum width of
the single plane façade (west façade); maximum height permitted for a monument
sign; and, maximum height of a monument sign base.
Currently, one attached sign exists on the north façade facing Southlake Blvd. The
applicant proposes removing the existing sign and replacing it with a new sign on the
north and west facades. The proposed sign on the north façade complies with size and
area regulations due to the distance from Southlake Blvd. The sign on the west façade
facing the internal driveway does not; and, also exceeds the maximum width allowed
(75% of the single plan façade) by 1 ½ inches.
