PROJECT: REQUEST: John Pichler, Identitec Signs, on behalf of Ravi Doctor, D.D.S. is requesting a variance to the Sign Ordinance No. 704-C regulations for attached signs. The subject property is located at 261 East Southlake Boulevard, Suite 100, in the Chapel Hill Office Park. The applicant is requesting an attached sign on the north elevation of the tenant’s lease space, which has visibility from Southlake Boulevard and the internal drive but does not directly face the street or internal drive. Under Sign Ordinance No. 704-C, attached signs are only permitted on facades that directly face a street, drive, or parking aisle. The applicant has also submitted a sign permit application for a sign on the west elevation that complies with the sign regulations and does not require a variance.
