Ordinance No. 937-B Amends 2006 International Residential Code to establish minimum standards for installation of residential irrigation systems Ordinances 934-B and 937-B Background 2007 Texas Legislature adopts House Bill 1656 requiring cities over 20,000 population to regulate installation of irrigation systems for water conservation, effective January 1, 2009. TCEQ subsequently amended Chapter 344 of the Texas Administrative Code adopting Rules for implementation. Ordinances 934-B and 937-B These ordinances adopt the standards for design and installation as required. These ordinances are consistent with Ordinance 895-A adopted last summer as the drought contingency plan. Plans will be required to show compliance with the new standards. Questions?
