Item 6C (2)GreenFellows, Inc. is requesting approval of a specific use permitto allow a
mass gathering for the Southlake Green Day event scheduled for Saturday,
March 27, 2010 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Set up will start at 8 a.m. that morning.
The event is proposed to take place at Rustin Park, Fountain Place, and the
Pavilion on Southlake Blvd. This event was successfully held last year with no
issues or concerns to report from staff. The applicant is requesting this specific
use permit be approved for three (3) years.

The event coordinators anticipate approximately1000 visitors throughout the
day. There will be approximately 42 tents and/or exhibit booths set up in Rustin
Park and along Fountain Place. New considerations for this year’s event are a
possible radio station’s van and live broadcast for 2 hours; an auto display
showing 3 hybrids sponsored by Lexus; and the sales of green products from
the vendors.

This is an example of the yardsign that is proposed. The locations and number
of signs is the same as last year. The applicant is requesting to display the
banner 15 days prior to the event and the yard signs 6 days prior to the event. If
you approve, staff recommends conditions of approval be that signs will not be
located in the ROW and be removed within 72 hours of event which would be
Tuesday, March 30.
