PROJECT:Sign Variance for Big Inc. Corporation
REQUEST:
Big Inc. Corporation is requesting a variance to the Sign Ordinance 704, as amended,
regulations for sign area. Big Inc. is located at 2757 East Southlake Boulevard, Suite
100 in the Cornerstone Plaza development. Specifically, the applicant is requesting a
sign area of 39 square feet. The maximum allowable sign area for this lease space is
25 square feet. The existing sign on the building, which reads “biginc.”, was
manufactured incorrectly at 27 square feet and is 2 square feet larger than permitted.
The applicant is requesting approval of the existing sign as well as the addition of a 12
square foot tagline that reads “print & sign co.”
The sign supplier manufactured a sign larger than what was permitted. The applicant
has been unable to negotiate the construction of a new sign with the sign supplier.
