Item 4CItem # 4C Approve SPDC Matching Funds request from Bob Jones Nature Center organization in the amount of $550 for the purchase of benches for the nature center patio Chris Tribble Nature Center Patio Benches Background Nature Center organization received a grant from Greater Southlake Women’s Society to purchase benches for patio If approved, matching funds will be used to purchase four benches: Made of 100% recycled plastic beverage bottles manufactured into maintenance free “Poly Lumber” Is non-toxic UV resistant Lifetime warranty Nature Center Patio Benches Nature Center Patio Benches Background Benches currently listed at $275 each for a total cost of $1,100 Benches will replace existing white wood benches donated for temporary use Nature Center Patio Benches FY 2009 SPDC Matching Funds ($200,000) Available No funds have been spent or allocated to date this fiscal year Council will also consider SPDC Matching Funds request from SHS for $2,500 ($5,000 total cost) for log cabin furnishings at this meeting If BJNC request in the amount of $550 (total $1,100) for BJNC for benches is approved, an unencumbered balance of $193,900 would remain If both SPDC requests are approved, the balance will be $193,900 City of Southlake Strategy Map The City of Southlake provides municipal services that support the highest quality of life for our residents and businesses.
