CASE NO:
Conditional Sign Permit for East Southlake No. 2, Ltd.
PROJECT:
REQUEST: Dr. Mendez is requesting approval of a conditional sign permit for East Southlake No.
2, Ltd., located at 910 E. Southlake Boulevard. Previously, the applicant proposed
five attached signs on the south façade of the building facing E. Southlake
Boulevard, one for each tenant space within the building. Only one tenant actually
has frontage on this façade, therefore only one attached sign is permitted. Following
the September 2, 2008 City Council meeting, the applicant has amended the
conditional sign permit request from five attached signs on the south façade to three
attached signs on the south façade. The specific variance would allow two additional
signs on the façade facing E. Southlake Boulevard and is as follows:
Sign Reg. Permitted Requested
Number of Signs 1 sign per street frontage 5 signs
per lease space 3 signs
The elevations showing the signage are representative only. The applicant fully
intends to comply with letter size and remain within the middle 75% of the façade
panel. Additionally, all lettering is to be consistent in color and font.
The monument sign and the signage shown on the east and north facades generally
comply with the sign ordinance.
