ITEM 4B Resolution No. 09-025, Approve TxDOT Master Advance Funding Agreement (MAFA) for federally funded transportation improvements Approve Resolution No. 09-025 The MAFA will provide a basis for federal funding of local projects that will enhance the community and the natural environment TxDOT requires the Master Advance Funding Agreement (MAFA) be approved by resolution Approve Resolution No. 09-025 The MAFA will be the basic agreement for all individual future projects A Local Project Advance Funding Agreement (LPAFA) will be presented to address project specific items for each individual project Recommendation Resolution No. 09-025, Approve TxDOT Master Advance Funding Agreement (MAFA) for federally funded transportation improvements Questions? History of Interlocal Agreements Local Government Code provides legal authority to utilize interlocal agreements Reduces time and cost Expanded purchasing volume Cooperative Purchasing Interlocal Agreement with the City of Cedar Hill This agreement will allow the City of Southlake to purchase from eligible existing and future contracts. Fire/EMS Supplies Generic Cooperative Interlocal Purchasing Agreement Between The City of Southlake and Multiple Cities and Counties This agreement will allow the City of Southlake to purchase from eligible existing and future contracts from the following Cities and Counties. Cities of: Garland, Desoto, Irving, Rockwall, Corinth and Coppell. Counties of: Collin County, Rockwall County and Hood County. Also included is the Salado Public Library. Master Intergovernmental Cooperative Purchasing Agreement with National IPA This agreement will allow the City of Southlake to purchase from eligible existing and future contracts for possible time and cost savings. The City of Fort Worth has issued a national fuel RFP with National IPA. Cooperative Purchasing Agreement with TCPN The Cooperative Purchasing Network/Region 4 Education Service Center This agreement will allow the City of Southlake to purchase from eligible existing and future contracts.
