RESOULUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE,TEXAS AUTHORIZING
EXECUTION OF AN ADVANCE FUNDING AGREEMENT (AFA) WITH
THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR BRUMLOW
AVE: EAST CONTINENTAL BOULEVARD TO SH 26 PROJECT.
WHEREAS,the City of Southlake,Texas("City")is a home rule municipality acting
under its charter adopted by the electorate pursuant to Article XI, Section 5,of the Texas
Constitution and Chapter 9 of the Texas Local Government Code; and
WHEREAS, on August 21, 2025, via Minute Order 116997, the Texas
Transportation Commission authorized Brumlow Ave: East Continental Boulevard to SH
26 project (the "Project) to receive Highway Infrastructure Program funds for project
Engineering Services and Texas Department of Transportation("TxDOT")oversight;and __......_..___
WHEREAS, the City commits to provide the match. The local match is comprised
of cash; and
WHEREAS, the City is responsible for all non-reimbursable costs and 100% of
overruns, if any; and
WHEREAS,the City Council for the City of Southlake desires to reaffirm its support
of the Project, approve and authorize the execution of an Advance Funding Agreement
("AFA")with TXDOT for the Project. Commented[S32]:Abbreviation should be TOOT
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is in the best interests of the citizens of
the City of Southlake to execute and enter into said Advanced Funding Agreement with

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SOUTHLAKE,TEXAS THAT:
SECTION 1
The City Council hereby authorizes the Mayor to enter into and execute an
Advanced Funding Agreement with TxDOT for the Project.
SECTION 2
This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage and it is so
resolved.
