A.Proposed FY 2027 General Fund and SPDC Operating Budget Update – The
purpose of this item isto discuss the new FY 2027 General Fund and SPDC
Operating Budget. No packet item.
B.Capital Improvements Budget Update – The purpose of this item is to provide an
update on the FY 2027 Capital Improvements Program Budget. No packet item.
C.FY 2027 Strategic Priorities – The purpose of this item is to discuss the 2027
Parks and Recreation Board Strategic Priorities. No packet item.

D.Projects Update – The purpose of this item is to provide an update on ongoing

the board on Parks & Recreation-related topics and upcoming activities and
events. No packet item.

Chair Magdalena Battles called the regular Parks and Recreation Board meeting to order
at 6:00 p.m.

The minutes of the June 8, 2026, Parks and Recreation Board meeting were approved
with no changes or corrections.
Consent Agenda items are considered to be routine and are enacted with one motion by
the Board.

Battles closed Public Forum at 6:03 p.m.

4A. ELECTION OF PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD VICE-CHAIR AND SECRETARY
Chair Battles presented item 4A to the Park Board for consideration. Director Miller was
available to answer questions.

A motion was made to elect Renee Thomas for Vice-Chair and Deanna Kienast for
Secretary.

4B. RECOMMENDATION FOR APPROVAL OF A GRAZING LEASE AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE AND DOVE ESTATE PARTNERS, LTD., ON
APPROXIMATELY 4.5-ACRES OF UNDEVELOPED CITY PARK PROPERTY LOCATED
AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF LONESOME DOVE ROAD AND FOXFIRE LANE
AND REFERRED TO AS THE COKER PROPERTY, LOCATED AT 2303 LONESOME
DOVE ROAD
Director Miller presented item 4B to the Park Board for consideration. Director Miller was
available to answer questions.

A motion was made to approve the Grazing Lease Agreement.
