Request for Variance to Sidewalk Ordinance - 2420 Greenbough Lane, Southlake, TX

Dear Members of the Board and City Staff:
We are respectfully submitting this letter to request a variance from the City of Southlake's
sidewalk ordinance requirements for the property located at 2420 Greenbough Lane,
Southlake,TX 76092.
We are requesting that the requirement to install a sidewalk at this property be waived for
the following reason:
The surrounding properties and neighboring homes in the immediate vicinity of 2420
Greenbough Lane do not currently have sidewalks installed. Requiring a sidewalk at this
single lot would result in an isolated segment of sidewalk that does not connect to any
existing pedestrian network, would not provide a functional benefit to the public, and
would be inconsistent with the established character and pattern of development in the
neighborhood.
Granting this variance would not be detrimental to public health, safety, or welfare, nor
would it adversely affect neighboring properties. In fact, it would maintain consistency with
the existing conditions of the surrounding area.
We kindly ask that the City consider and approve this variance request. We are happy to
provide any additional information, documentation, or attend a hearing as needed to
support this request.
