Chair Laura McCaskill presented item 2A, approval of the minutes from
the June 01, 2026, Advisory Commission on Persons with Disabilities.

4A. REVIEW PROGRESS ON THE CITY'S ADA TRANSITION PLAN AND PROVIDE
RECOMMENDATIONS
Customer Relations Operations Manager and ADA Coordinator Melody
Anderson reviewed the City's ADA Transition Plan. She was available to answer
questions.
4B. ADAPTIVE PROGRAMS AND SERVICES UPDATE
a. FOLLOW-UP: STARS AND STRIPES EVENT UPDATES
b. FOLLOW-UP: SUMMER ADAPTIVE PROGRAMMING
c. FOLLOW-UP: FUNDRAISING
a. Deputy Director of Community Services Ryan McGrail discussed Stars and
Stripes updates — ADA viewing area, sensory room at the Hilton, the website
and social media campaign.
b. Deputy Director of Community Services Ryan McGrail gave an update on the
summer adaptive programs.
c. Assistant City Manager Stacey Black went over fundraising and the Texas
Open Meetings Act. Stacey Black was available to answer questions.
4C. FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS AND NEXT MEETING DATE
Community Services Director David Miller discussed future meeting topics
including a Stars and Stripes debrief, annual report review, and visits from the
Southlake Police Department, Southlake program staff and the Southlake
Chamber of Commerce. The next meeting will be held on Monday, August 24tn
