seven (7) citizens of the City of Southlake who must be at least 55
years of age; and allows two members to be less than age 55 if
their experience or education is deemed valuable to the Senior
The City Council shall appoint the members for two (2) year terms.
There is one vacancy on the Commission, Place 2, which w'111
expire in May 2010.

RESOLUTION NO. 09w013
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY O F
SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, APPOINTING A MEMBER TO THE
SENIOR ADVISORY COMMISSION AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council deemed it advisable and necessary to establish a
Senior Advisory Co mmissior� for the City of z�outhlake to act as an advisory capacity to
the City Council in all matters pertaining to senior programs and issues including
development of long -range capital improvement programs, recommend policies in
senior service and improvements, and recommend senior - related programs for
development of recreational facilities and services; and,
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 653 establishes the Senior Advisory C ommission
and states that the Senior Advi*sory shall consist of seven (7) citizens of the
City of Southlake, who must be at last 55 E ers of age; and allows two members to be
less than age 55 if their ex perience or education is deemed valuable to the Senior
Advisory Commission; and allows for two alternate P embers and
WHEREAS, the Cl'ty'Council shall appoint the members for two (2) year terms;
and,
WHEREAS, there is one vacancy, Place 2, which will expire in May 2070; now,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE T C IY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, THAT:
Sect'i'on 1. The above premises are hereby found to be true and correct and a re
hereby incorporated into the body of this resolution as if copied in their
entirety.
Section 2. The City Council hereby appoint I e following member to serve on the
Senior Advisory Commission:
Place 2 (term ends May 20. 10)
Section 3.
This resolution is hereby effective upon passage by C1l.
