Subject: Item 4G - Resolution No. 26-021, amending the Fee Schedule

Schedule
Background
Information: The Recreation and Athletics Task Force was established to
provide feedback and recommendations to the Southlake Park
and Recreation Board and City Council on policies related to the
athletic field and facility use in the city of Southlake.
On May 19, the City Council approved the fee recommendations
from the Recreation and Athletics Task Force. Adoption of the
resolution is the final step needed to incorporate the fees into the
City’s official Fee Schedule.
Financial
Considerations: The fee schedule changes are anticipated to increase annual
FUA revenue from approximately $56,470 to $102,060 (based on
2024 enrollment numbers), increasing cost recovery from 32% to
an estimated 58%. All proposed tournament fees are structured
to achieve a minimum 100% direct cost recovery on field
maintenance and staffing costs.
Strategic Link: Supports Strategy Map objectives: F1: Safeguarding the public
trust through a commitment to thoughtful planning and
responsible, conservative financial management and B1:
Achieving strong outcomes through continual evaluation and
pursuit of better practices that improve core business operations.
