The I Iispanic Heritage Fiesta is a celebration that showcases and celebrates the Hispanic population in Southlake during the Hispanic
Heritage Month.This will mark the 2nd year of the Hispanic Heritage Month celebration hosted by Sorrns SoWihke. It is estimated that over
4000 people will attend this event this year. During the event we will again have di$erent cultural and ni sical groups throughout the day on the train
stage.The celebration will start with a few words from the Sou thlake Mayor,John Hinman.There will be food tricks serving hot food as well as
ice cream and fresh fiuit drunks called aguas frescas in Spanish Apart from food trucks,ni sic and cultural perfonrances,there will be other vendor
stalls for the attendees to visit. We will have the continued presence of police officers.We will also have proper insurance.
All activities and entertairuâť‘ent will be consistent with the previous year's event.We request to continue to have the ability to access the park
property the day of the celebration
We are requesting access to the park property for the following dates for the next five years:
Sunday,October 2nd,2022
Sunday,October 8th,2023
Sunday,October 6th,2024
Sunday,October 5th,2025
Sunday,October 4th,2026
Each year we will require a 3 hour set-up time,a 5 hour tirm for the event and 1 hour to clean up after the event.The hours will range from
10:00amto 8:OOpm
On the map enclosed,you will find our projected plan to provide adequate extra trash cans/containers. They are listed as an X under#21 on the
list. On the map listed as#20 you will find the location requested for extra 4 to 6 portable bathroorms and/or 2 comfort stations. Both#20 and
#21 will be provided by an outside private vendor. On the crap listed as#19 is the location where we designated the medic station during the
event.Finally,we also request the use of signage during the event and throughout the park and stage.
Due to a successfiul and safe previous year coordinated by the organizers throughout all aspects of the Hispanic Heritage Fiesta,we are respectfully
requesting to be granted a Specific Use Permit in perpetuity.
