Department to present to the Southlake Youth Action Commission.
B. Adopt-a-Street Date Selection- The purpose of this item is for the
Southlake Youth Action Commission to decide on a spring clean-up date.
C. In-house YAC Conference Discussion- The purpose of this item is for the
Southlake Youth Action Commission to discuss a potential in-house YAC
Conference.

3.Discussion
A.Legends Hall Sales Strategy Presentation-
The Legends Hall and Hospitality Sales Division presented an
overview of the venue’s operations, including booking procedures,
rental eligibility, and the types of events hosted at Legends Hall. They
highlighted the different event spaces available, such as banquet halls
and meeting rooms, and discussed how staff work with clients to
customize events, including weddings, meetings, and community
gatherings. The presentation also touched on current renovations and
how the updates will enhance the overall guest experience. They were
available to answer questions.

B.SYAC Recommendation Letter for Keep Southlake Beautiful
Community Relations Manager Vicky Schiber presented Item 3B to the
Southlake Youth Action Commission. Members of the Southlake Youth
Action Commission prepared a recommendation letter supporting Keep
Southlake Beautiful’s continued Gold Status with Keep Texas
Beautiful.

C.SYAC Recommendation Letter for Keep Southlake Beautiful-
Community Relations Manager Vicky Schiber presented Item 3B and
informed the youth members that YAC Summit registration had closed
due to full capacity. The group discussed alternative options, including
the possibility of hosting a YAC summit during the summer or waiting
until next year.
Direction to Staff – Staff received direction to explore the logistics of
hosting a “Life Skills” conference for Youth Boards across Texas,
including venue, scheduling, and capacity considerations.

informed SYAC members of an opportunity for members and their families to
travel to Washington, D.C., to learn more about government.
