The Advisory Commission on Persons with Disabilities will hold its next meeting on
Monday, February 02, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. in the Legends Hall Board Room at The
Marq Southlake (285 Shady Oaks Drive). A light dinner will be available beginning at
6:00 p.m.

B. New Programming Updates
The purpose of this item is to provide ACPD members with an update on a
recent adaptive programming addition at Champions Club and future
programming planned in 2026.

C. Deep Dive into Adaptive Programming
The purpose of this item is to provide ACPD members with an update on
the City of Southlake’s adaptive programming efforts. This update will offer
general insights and information to support discussion, as well as detail
efforts by City staff to understand the full adaptive programming portfolio
within the City of Southlake service area.

D. Communication: Website and Community Resources Review
The purpose of this item is to provide ACPD members with an update on
recent website enhancements related to adaptive programming information.
This includes general improvements to how this information is presented
and accessed across the Experience Southlake and City of Southlake
websites, as well as planned enhancements to future program
communication efforts.

Chair Laura McCaskill presented item 2A, approval of the minutes from
the October 27, 2025, Advisory Commission on Persons with Disabilities.
Chair McCaskill mentioned Marissa Mahon’s name was misspelled in the
September Minutes.

A motion was made to approve the minutes from the October 27, 2025,
Advisory Commission on Persons with Disabilities meeting with the
suggested change.

5.DISCUSSION
5A. STRATEGIC PRIORITY ONE: REVIEW AND ASSESS THE CITY’S ADAPTIVE
PROGRAMS AND SERVICES – FRAMEWORK REVIEW
Director of Community Services, David Miller, and Deputy Director of Community
Services, Ryan McGrail, presented Item 5A to the Commission. Director Miller
began the discussion by explaining what the Framework is and outlining the
Commission’s role in the conversation. Deputy Director McGrail then discussed
how staff use the Framework to evaluate different recreational programs.

Members of the ACPD also provided feedback regarding the Framework. Both

Deputy Director of Community Services, Ryan McGrail, presented Item 5B and
discussed a potential new adaptive program. He was available to answer
questions from the Commission.
