This would be phase 1. Phase 2 is the addition of a new Foundry building for contemporary worship. Also rezoning to a SP1 designation based on CS to allow for 3 story and 58 foot height. Dennis, Attached are Plans for the project to be built in two phases. Phase one for a Youth Activity Center. This building has two pieces to it. The first is to build a two-story addition to the north side of the children's education building constructed in 2007. This building would be about 17,337 sf addition. This addition's first floor would be 3' above the children's building and then would have a tall first floor volume making the second -floor level with that of the roof of the adjacent building. This is being done so that a third floor could be constructed over the 2007 children's building. This addition would be approximately 10,273 sf. This building was structured to accommodate a third floor and has openings for extension of the stairs and elevators. Phase two for a New Foundry (Contemporary Worship for 578 seats). This building would house the tiered seating for worship, a new choir rehearsal space, dressing rooms and storage for touring groups to make it easier for them to set up on the main floor of the Worship Center. The overall size of the addition is 29,602 sf and would be two stories, but upper floor of the worship space would require a higher volume. This addition would required the demolition of a portion of the existing worship center's back of house to accommodate the new volume. As mentioned above we realize that current zoning of CS only allows for a 2'/2 story building. So this submission is requesting that the zoning be changed to a SP1 based on CS requirements with a variance for a 3 story building and for these new buildings' heights are up to 58 feet.
