Comments / Explanation I am writing to express my support for the proposed
development across from my residence on North Petionville
Avenue. I am interested in learning whether the project
includes a formal sewer system. As residents on this section of
the avenue have previously requested city sewer access, I
believe this development presents the ideal opportunity to fulfill
that need. I urge the City to collaborate with the developer to
extend the sewer system to include existing homes on North
Petionville Avenue.

Comments / Explanation I own the property next door to this proposed project, and I
oppose the current development plan. The development as
currently designed will create serious drainage issues for my
property and will materially increase the risk of flooding to my
home. All of the lots on the west side of the proposed
development are located within a drainage. More than 60% of
some of the lots are fully within the drainage system. Further -
according to the plan, the water draining from these homes will
go into the drainage creek that runs directly through my
property. There needs to be a robust study completed ensuring
that the additional runoff generated by the new homes will not
cause drainage issues for the existing neighbors (including
me). There also needs to be a study ensuring that the planned
retention pond will be sufficient enough to hold all runoff from
the new neighborhood. Further, I am concerned about
substantial construction debris that will find its way into the
drainage creek that runs into my property. I would like written
assurances that the builders or the city will keep the drainage
rivers free from construction debris and clean up any debris
that ends up on my property.
It is my understanding that any any all projects that impact the
drainage system will need approval by the Corp of Engineers.
When we build a bridge on our property, we had to get it
approved by the Corp of Engineers to ensure that it would not
impede the drainage system as the water from the drainage

required to go through this same process.
