1980-02-11 14 r CITY OF SOUTHLAKE 667 North Carroll Avenue Southlake, Texas The Zoning Board of Adjustments of the City of Southlake, Texas, met in regular meeting on Monday, February 11,1980. The meeting was called to order by chairman, George Kolb at approximately 7:40 p.m. The Minutes of the January 28,1980 meeting were approved as presented. Present for the meeting were: George Kolb, chairman Eleanor Kasper, vice chairman „4$ Walter Garrett Bob Lyford 14 Absent were: Carolyn Poe, alternate Fred Merrill, alternate A Mary Dorsett Agenda Item 1. Case # 15. Request of Phillip L. Mummert to place a 2,000 square feet metal building on his property. A 2 acre tract of land located in the Samuel Freeman Survey, Abstract 525, Tract 5M. Public Hearing. Mr and Mrs Phillip Mummert were present and presented their request to the board. Mr. Mummert indicated that 1 acre of his property, which faces Raintree Lane, was vacant except for many, many trees. He read a list of the automobiles he wishes to house in the building if his request is approved. The list consisted of from 20 to 25 auto- mobiles. During the public hearing, Harold Forrester,a property owner within 200 feet, presented to the board, a petition consisting of names of area residents who are opposed to Mr. Mummert obtaining a building 0 permit. The petition is attached to the minutes. ~w Other property owners present who are opposed to the request include: Mrs Harold Forrester, Sam Brittian, Mrs. Bridges, Steve Haddow. After discussion amoung the board, Bob Lyford moved to deny the request by Mr. Mummert. The motion was seconded by Walter Garrett. as The vote was taken and was unanimous in favor of denying the request.
