ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS MEETING
October 22,1979
7:30 p.m.
The Zoning Board of Adjustments of the City of Southlake, Texas,
meet in regular meeting on Tuesday, October 22,1979 at 7:30 p.m.
The meeting was called to order by chairman, George Kolb. The
Minutes of the August 30,1979 meeting were approved.
Present for the meeting were: George Kolb, chairman
Eleanor Kasper, vice chairman
Bob Lyford
Walter Garrett
id Carolyn Poe, alternate
Fred Merrill, alternate
Absent was: Mary Dorsett
Agenda Item 1 Case #11. Request of Raymond C. Huston, to
replace an older mobile home on his property
with a new larger mobile home.
di Location: A 2 acre tract of land out of the
John A. Freeman Survey, Abstract 529, Tract 6H.
Public Hearing.
Rex Huston, was present and made his request for appeal, stating
the mobile home is small and run down. He wishes to replace it with
a modulare type mobile home.
Property owners from the area present were:
Mrs. Ramsour, did not state an opinion.
Mr. Darby, spoke in favor of following the city ordinances.
Roy Lee, also spoke in favor of following the city ordinances.
After discussion from the board, Bob Lyford moved that the request
4 be denied. The motion was seconded by Carolyn Poe.
Due to the fact that this is not a hardship case, the motion was
passed unanimously in favor of denial.
Agenda Item 2. Discussion: Responsibility of the Board of Adjustment
Members. Ordinance 161.
Sandy LeGrand, gave each board member a city map and a copy of the
zoning ordinance. A discussion was led by chairman, George Kolb.
The board members are to study the ordinance and be prepared to
ask questions at the next meeting.
The meeting was adjourned by chairman, Kolb.
