AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING AND ANNEXING THE
A INHABITANTS AND TERRITORIES ADJACENT TO THE
TQWN OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, AND PROVIDING THAT
SUCH AREA SHOULD BE A PART OF THE TOWN OF
SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, AND THAT THE INHABITANTS
SHALL BE ENTITLED TO THE RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES
OF OTHER CITIZENS OF THE TOWN OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS,
AND BOUND BY THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES ENACTED IN
PURSUANT TO TITLE 28, CHAPTERS 1 to 10'INCLUSIVE,
REVISED CIVIL STATUTES OF TEXAS, AND AMENDING AND
CORRECTING OFFICIAL BOUNDARIES OF THE TOWN OF
r SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, AS HERETOFORE ADOPTED AND PRO-
VIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
I WHEREAS, pursuant to Article 974 of the 1925 Revised Civil
Statutes of Texas, and others,
14 inhabitants of the area herein described and who are qualified
to vote for members of the State Legislature, have heretofore
filed with the Mayor and the Board of Aldermen of the Town of
Southlake, Texas, their petition requesting annexation of the
said area to the Town of Southlake, Texas, such area being
described as follows:
10 + A tract of land consisting of 112 acres more or less
situated in the 0. W. Knight Abstract No. 899, and W. W.
Hall Abstract No. 687 Surveys, Tarrant County, Texas,
more fully described as follows:

40 BEGINNING at a point in the 0. W, Knight Survey,/the
South Boundary Line of a tract of land annexed to the
14 Town of Southlake, Texas, on Nov. 12, 1 956, pursuant to
the provisions of Ordinance No. 3 of said Town, 950
40 varas East of the West Boundary Line of said Survey, said
w point being also the Northwest Corner of a Forty-four (44)
acre tract owned by A. W. Creel as is described in a
Warranty Deed, recorded in Vol. 1478 page 63, Deed Records,
Tarrant County, Texas, being also the town limit at said
point;
THENCE, West, along the North Boundary line of the said
forty-four (44) acre tract to a point for corner of 411
varas East from the West Boundary Line of the 0. W. Knight
Survey, said point being also the southwest Corner of the
tract of land described in the aforementioned Ordinance
No. 3;
THENCE, North in a line parallel to the West Boundary Line
of the said 0. W. Knigh# Survey, to the North Boundary Line
of said survey in the center of the Keller - Grapevine

Pursuant to the call of the Mayor, and to notice given to all
members of the Town Council stating the time, place and purpose
of the meeting, the Regular Meeting of the Town Council, Sou hlake,
Texas, was held Monday December 1c56, at 7:30 p.m. at the
