PURSUANT TO THE CALL OF THE MAYOR AND TO NOTICE GIVEN TO ALL
MEMBERS OF THE TOWN COUNCIL, STATING TIME, PLACE, AND PURPOSE `
OF THE MEETING, THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF
SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS WAS HELD SEPTEMBER t2, 1959, AT THE CARROLL
SCHOOL AT 2 P.m. THE FOLLOWING MEMBERS WERE PRESENT CONSTITUTING

ALSO PRESENT WERE ATTORNEY GEORGE P. GLEESON, AND MARSHAL KELLER

THE MAYOR CALLED THE MEETING TO ORDER. THE MINUTES OF THE JULY
COUNCIL MEETING AND THE SPECIAL MEETING HELD AUGUST t9v t959`
WERE READ BY THE SECRETARY AND APPROVED BY THE COUNCIL,

THE MAYOR ACKNOWLEDGED RECEIPT OF A LETTER OF RESIGNATION FROM THE
PRESENT CITY SECRETARY.
MARSHAL AUSTIN GAVE HIS REPORT.
THE MAYOR READ A LETTER FROM MR. GLEESON REGARDING VIOLATION OF
A DISTRICT COURT INJUNCTION. THE MAYOR ASKED MR. GLEESON TO
PREPARE FOR THE COUNCIL A STEP BY STEP PROCEDURE FOR COURT
PROCEEDINGS.
THE MAYOR ACKNOWLEDGED RECEIPT OF A BILL FROM YANCEY & YANCEY
INSURANCE AGENCY FOR THE MARSHAL'S BOND. ALSO RECEIVED WAS A BILL
FOR WORK DONE ON THE MARSHAL'S RAD-10.
MISS JUDY STINSON WAS APPOINTED AS CITY SECRETARY. HER APPOINTMENT
WAS APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY BY THE COUNCIL.
THE COUNCIL AT THE MOTION OF C. M. GORDON AND SECONDED BY W. C.
CUM4:QINGS APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY THE PAYMENT OF 45 PER MONTH
GASOLOWE EXPENSE TO THE MARSHAL.
NO FURTHER BUSINESS COMING BEFORE THE COUNCIL, THE MEETING WAS
ADJOURNED.
