MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF TTE TOWN COUNCIL,
'W ` TOWN OF SOUTBLAKE, TEXAS, DECEMBER e9, 1958.
Pursuant to the call of the Mayor, and to notice given to all
members of the Town Council, stating time, place, and purpose
of the meeting, a special meeting of the Town Council, Southlake,
Texas Yes held. Monday Evening, December 29, at Carroll School,
at 7;30 p.m. The followi members were
present, constituting
a quorum:

Aiso pm sent were Jurl L. Richardson, Mrs. Frank Denton., Mr.
Frans Denton, Mrs. J. J. Carlile, and Charles Alexander.
The Mayor opened the meeting by reading a complaint against the
Marshal filed by Claude S. Sn?ith of Grapevine. The Council was
asked to state an opinion on what Ution ).tai„_tak*,r.regard rig: the
complaint.
C. M. Gordon read a resolution stating the reasons for the Council
taking no action regarding the release of the City Marshall. Mr.
Gordon asked that the Council consider the public, tion of this
resolution in the official paper, "The Grapevine Sun."
The Mayor asked for motions that the resolution be accepted. W. C.
Cummings made the motion. It was seconded by J. J. Carlile and
.N. approved unanimously.
40 W. C. Cummings made a motion that a resolution be made and approved
to contribute $50 to the Carroll School P. T. A. to show the
appreciation of the Council for the privilege of holding their
regular and special meetings at the school. The motion was seconded
by L. A. Casey. It was approved unanimously by the Council.
Another motion, made by L. A. Casey, was that a resolution be
passed to contribute $100 to the Grapevine Fire Department for
the services rendered by the Fireman in the City of Southlake.
J. J. Carlile seconded the motion. It was approved unanirnmusy,

The Secretary was asked to mail the two contributions.
No further business coming before the Council, the meeting was
