MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF
SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, DECEMBER 1, 1958

of the Town Council, stating time, place, and purpose of the meeting, a
specially called meeting of the Town Council, Southlake, Texas was held
101 cn Monday evening, December 1, 1958, at 7:30 p.m. at the home of the Mayor
of the City. Besides Jurl L. Richardson, City Marshall, and Frank Denton,
building commissioner, the following members were present constituting a

.r The meeting was called to order by the Mayor, The purpose of the
meeting was to discuss possible revisions of the Ordinance No. 119.

A letter to Mr. Corli ss E. Davis, Resident Representative of the
.Corps of Engineers of Grapevine Lake, concerning the Leassee Agreement
on Rock Ledge Point recreational park was given to the Secretary for the

Mayo Eubanks presented a letter to Mr. H. L. Gilbert accepting his
ar resignation from the Town Council of Southlake, Texas to the secretary for
filing purposes.

,o The Council members decided to explain fully to the members present
at the public hearing to be held December 13, 1958, the Zoning Ordinance
and its revisions and also the duties of the City Marshall. C. M. Gordon
was appointed to speak to the residents present at the hearing.
The section of the Ordinance Yoe 119 concerning the single family
dwelling was revised and now reads multi-family dwelling.
Article 7, Section 7, of the Ordinance No. 119 was revised to read:
"Agriculture,, nurseries, and truck gardens limited toothe propagation
40 and cultivation of plants and livestock."
The Council at the motion of C. M. Gordon and seconded by W. C.
Cummings voted to make the square footage of a house 750 square feet.

Article H under Section 14 of the Zoning Ordianance which reads:
"Any existing non-conforming "restaurant oil cafe" as defined in this
ordinance, in Commercial District, shall be discontinued or made to conform
to all the requirements prescribed by this ordinance with six months after
~u the effective date here of s" was omitted by the Council members from the
Ordinance.
These revisions were to be presented to the public hearing and residents
present thereof to consider and discuss. No further business coming
' before the Council, the meeting was adjourned.
