this item is to elect from the board a Chair, Vice-Chair, and a Secretary to
each serve a one-year term. A memo is included in your packet.
4.Agenda Item No. 4. Discussion
A.Preparing to Host Elections with the City Secretary’s Office - The purpose
of this item is to learn how the City Secretary’s Office prepares to host
elections. No packet item.
B.Adopt-a-Street Date Selection- This item allows the Southlake Youth
Action Commission to discuss their November 17, 2025, Adopt-a-Street
Southlake Youth Action Commission
November 10, 2025
clean-up date. The board will also discuss future clean-up dates for their
adopted street, Shady Oaks Drive. No packet document.
C.Home for the Holidays Discussion- This item allows for a discussion of the
upcoming Home for the Holidays and if the Board would like to oversee a
booth. No packet document.
D.YAC Summit Update- This item allows for Community Relations Manager
Vicky Schiber to give the Southlake Youth Action Commission an update
regarding the YAC Summit. No packet Document.

Business Manager Milenka Lopez led a workshop that went over
creating a Mission, Theme, and Goals for the upcoming Southlake
Youth Action Commission year. The SYAC board members present
created the Mission, Vision, and Goals for the upcoming SYAC years.

E. T-shirt Design
Business Manager Milenka Lopez led a discussion with the Southlake
Youth Action Commission Board members to come up with a design
for the annual t-shirt.

SUBJECT: Election of Southlake Youth Action Commission Chair, Vice
Chair, and Secretary
Action Requested: Election of Southlake Youth Action Commission Chair, Vice
Chair, and Secretary.
Background
Information: The Southlake City Code and the Southlake Youth Action
Commission Bylaws address the process for selection of the
Chair, Vice Chair, and Secretary for the Southlake Youth
Action Commission. Annually, during the second meeting of
the academic school year, the Board shall select a Chair,
Vice Chair, and Secretary to serve one year until the next
annual election.
Any sitting member of the Board may be considered for the
available officer positions. The current Board members are:
Maya Perera
Tyler Koo
William Zhang
Carlos Galindo
Aryaman Srivastava
Vyas Vishnukumar
Ariana Lerin
A summary of each officer’s duties is listed below for your
consideration.
Chair
•Preside at all meetings of the commission and perform all
duties incident to the office of the chair
