Meeting of the City Council
City of Southlake,
June 9, 1962
The regular meeting of the council was held in the city
Hall at 1 PM. In the absence of Mayor Stevenson, mayor pro-tem.
Earl Williams, called the meeting to order. Answering roll call
were councilmen J. J. Carlile, Jahn R. Tate, Paul Schell. Minutes
of the previous meeting were read and approved.
Current bills were approved for payment; a statement from
;r Cole's Florist for flowers for Mr. Stevenson's father was approved
for payment on motion of Paul Schell, seconded by John R. Tate.
Mr. Stevenson arrived at the meeting and presented two
statements from the lessee of the R ckledge Park. One was a
report from the lessee on receipts efor the past six month's
which showed the city was entitled to $61.86 revenge; the
other was a statement charging the city $60.00 for maintenance
of the premises for the same six mothhs. A general discussion
of the operation of the park and its' many problems ensued.
Mr. Stevenson suggested that any action on the park be postponed
until the next meeting since the councilmen who were checking the
construction work underway at the park were not ready to report
at this time.

Because the problem of finding available the chairman of
the zoning and planning commission or the marshal, who had hereto-
fore been the only ones to issue building permits, council decided
to add the city secretary to the list of names who would be
authorized to discharge this duty. Mr. Austin was asked to see
that such forms as were needed were delivered to Mrs. Nelson.
No other business was considered and on motion of J. J.
Carlile, seconded by all present, the meeting was adjourned.
