1961-09-18 r City of Southlake September 9, 1961 The regular meeting of the City Council was not held because there were not sufficient number of the members present. Mr. C. M. Gordon, Mr. ra R. E. Williams, Mr. Wade Cummings were present. -Secretary r. City of Southlake r September 18, 1961 In a special called meeting, the council met at 7:30 PM on September 18, W 1961, in the home of Mayor John Stevenson. All of the councilmen were present: C. M. Gordon, J. J. Carlile, W. C. Cemznings, John Cope, Earl Williams. The transfer of ownership of the Rock Ledge Park concession from Mr. B. A, Moreman, to Messrs. G W. Smith, Homer L. French, and Bob Holder, was approved by the City Council after a motion was made by C. M. Gordon, seconded by Earl Williams. The gentlemen named herein were present at the meeting. The appointment of Mr. Reid R. Jamison as Corporation Court judge was withdrawn. Mr. Frank Lanford was appointed to serve in this capacity. This was done on motion of W. C. Cummings, seconded by C. M. Gordon. The need-for quarters for the cityls corporation court had been previously discussed. A this special meeting, on motion of C. M. Gordon, seconded by W. C. Cummings.. the council voted to spend a maximum of $200.00 to arrange for such quarters in a building owned by Mr. L. A. Casey, and to pay therefor a sum of $5.00 per month rental. This transaction was to be closed by a lease PF agreement, subject to the approval of the city attorney, Mr. Ben McClure. 6 On motion of John Cope, seconded by C. M. Gordon, the meeting adjourned.
