COUNCIL MEETING
d January 14, 1961
The regular meeting of the City 0ouncil of Southlake was held on
Saturday, January 14, 1961. Answering roll call were mayor John
a Stevenson, C. M. Gordon, W. C. Cummings, J, J. Carlile, Mr. Ben
McClure, and the City Secretary were also present.
The Council approved a bill of $12.00 presented by Mr. Frank Lanford
for cases tried in connection with traffic violations.
The Council unanimously reappointed the Committee on Zoning and
w Planning: Mr. Frar* Denton, chairman, W. E. Mayfield, George
Schultze, H. M. Hunter, and Harold Knight.
After motif by W. C. Cummings, seconded by C. M. Gordon, the
City Marsha34 Keller Austin, was instructed to inform Mr. J. P,
, Hammons that his proposed wrecking yard was in violation of the
city zoning ordinance and that if he wishes a change in zoning,
he should make formal application to Mr. Frank Denton, chairman
of the Zoning and Planning Commission. This motion carried.
The matter of a charge for radio service calls was discussed
and the council agreed for the Mayor to meet with the Grapevine
Ci)y Council to discuss any such charges. C. M. Gordon made the
motion that this be done, seconded by J. J. Carlile. Motion
carried.
Motion for adjournment was made by C. M. Gordon.
