MINTITES OF THE REGULAR IIIEETPIG OF THE
TOWI COUNCIL, TOW'' OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, MARCH, 1960
Pursuant to the call of the Mayor and to notice given to all members
of the Town Council stating time, place, and purpose of the meeting
the regular meeting of the Town Council of Southlake, Texas, was held
Parch 12 at the Carroll School. The following member's were present
constituting a quorum:

Councilmen J. J. Carlile
L. A. Casey
ff. C. Cummings
' C. 'tI. Gordon
Also present were Marshal Austin, Attorney ?:IcClure, and Mr. J. 10.
Greenough, a visitor.
hTayor Stevenson called the meeting to order at 1:15 p.m. The minutes
were read and approved.
A letter from the Tri County REA pertaining to Ordinance 123, a thank
you card from the Gleeson family, and the 19,59 annual report of Texas
Power & Light were read. The payments of x"6.36 to the Stafford-Lowdon
Printing Company and $10.28 for flowers for I;Ir. Gleeson were approved.
The Council discussed the County's closing of the County garbage dump
near Southlake and the need for additional disposal sites.
Yr. Greenough spoke concerning the County Wide Sewi~Xage Survey being
sponsored by the County Commissioners' Court for which funds are being
solicited. He also invited participation in the Suburban League which
meets each first Thursday at 7:30 at the Commissioners' Court.

The motion was made and adopted unanimously to contribute $50.00 to the
Sewerage Survey and to send a letter tb the Commissioners' Court expres-
sing interest and approval.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 3:00 p.m..
