1966-11-01 CITY OF SOUTHLAKE INCORPORATED 1956 A TARRANT COUNTY P. O. BOX 868 SOUTHLAKE. TEXAS 76051 November 1, 1966 AW MINUTES OF REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING The meeting was called to order by Mayor Paul Schell. The following Council members were present: 4 J. J. Carlile J. D. Cate J. L. Clow The Mayor reported that he had met with F. H. A. on Oct. 17, 66 in an effort to get FHA to release the balance of the water loan. FHA did not indicate they would release this money to the City. Mr. Schell wrote a letter to Mr. Morris of FHA on Oct. 17, 66 on this matter. ! There was a brief discussion on a City building, its cost etc. 14 Mayor Schell Asked about the papers on the Keneth Smith annexation. A Mr. Carlile reported he had been told the papers were in Ben VcClurels office. Mr. Carlile also reported he had put a water tap in for Mr. M?Pwl. Smith and had received a check for $410.00 s.rr There was a breif discussion on Keller Austin's insurance. Mayor Schell gave out copies of ordinances sent to the City by the 41 State Highway Dept. J. L. Clow moved to adopt the ordinance4 J. D. Cate seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. The papers were signed by the Mayor and City Secretary and prepared for mailing back to the State Highway Dept. in Austin. Councilman Clow asked if City Police Chief Austin could enforce the +1111 new speed ordinance. The Mayor said that he could. The Mayor invited thevisitor, Mr. W. F. Jackson to discuss the pro- posed Gas System. There was a brief discussion. Mr. Carlile requested the Council to approve a request from Mr. Frank Croy to replace his 3A " meter with a 211 meter. The cost to be charged to Mr. Croy. Credit would be allowed for the 3A11 meter. The request was put in the form of a motion by Mr. J. D. Cate. The motion was seconded by J. L. The Mayor planns to attend the meeting. If the Mayor is unable to attend the hearing r Mr. Williams will go. J. J. Carlile made a motion after a s4ort discussion to pay the expense of $3.00 per member to attend a meeting held by the North Texas Council of Government. Mr. Clow seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. PIR The Mayor explained some of the details of the proposed Gas system Irt and ansered some questions put to him by visitors. It was decided most of the discussion on the gas system would have to be at another time,' ~r J. J. Carlile moved that the meeting adjourn J. D. Cate seconded PIP the motion.
