TEXAS 76051 August 2, 1966 MINUTES OF COUNCIL MEETING The meeting was called to order by Mayor Paul Schell at 7:30 on August 2, at the City Hall. The following members were in attendence: Mayor Paul Schell R. E. Williams J. L. Clow J. D. Cate, Jr. J. J. Carlile The minutes of the preceding meeting were read by the City Secretary and approved as corsected. Mr. Williams made a report to the council of his discussion with the Exchange Bank & Trust Co. of Dallas, regarding the deposit of the water fund. The City will receive 5% interest on 90 day time deposits. A new contract must be executed by both the Bank and City each year. The Bank representatives are to come out for a special meeting on this matter so the fine details were left for the special meeting. i~ The Mayor asked for a report on how the collections on the City water were coming in. The secretary reported the collection to be satisfactory. On motion of Mr. Clow, seconded by Mr. Crumbaker, the City agreeded to deposit $1,500 per month in the time deposit with the Exchange Bank and Trust Co. in Dallas, on or before the 15th of each month The mot}on carried ungni.mously. 1n,1., v 1J l y/ Al ee_rlk/j {or 4-4:3 A special meeting was set for the coming Thursday to megt with Mr. Lister. On motion by Mr. Carlile, seconded by Mr. Williams, application by Whiteside Butane Co. for building permit was approved by unanimous vote according to previously presented plans and specification and plot for the purpose of selling and storing L. P. G. and appliances. Chief of Police Keller Austin requested leave for a period of 3 weeks. The Grapevine Police agreed to supervise his duties during his absence. Mayor Schell releived Mr. Hudson as Judge and appointed Roger Baird. Mr. Hudson will continue to be deputy with the unanimous approval of the Council. TEXAS 76051 1P regulation by the City have not been complied with. 0a A discussionon the procedure for handl;.ng delinquent water accounts pre- ceeded the following conclusions; A customer using water will be sent a notice when his bill is delinq- uent for 2 months, stating water will be disconnected 5 days from notice.if delinquent account is not paid. If water is disconnected there will be a $2.00 reconnection charge. A customer not using water will be sent a notice when his account is 2 months delinquent, stating that if his account becomes delinquent 6 for 3 months his tap will be removed and he will forfiet his initial fee. Should he wish to reconnect to the City Water System a fee of 1• $250 plus all delinquent accounts would be required. 6 If the customers account does become delinquent for 3 months, he will 1• be sent a certified letter with return receipt stating that his agree- ment with the City Water is terminated. to ,no The above was put mot the form of a motion made by Mr. Williams and seconded by Mr. Carlile. The motion carried unanimously. Mayor Schell is to receive information from Mesco about an estimate for the new proposed City building.
